Fellow Passengers: This week’s Daily Passages theme is “Executing Justice” and focuses on the end of Jesus’ earthly life, when he suffered death on the cross. It makes me think of humanity’s long history of executions, with the US , Japan, and South Korea being the only established democracies still employing capital punishment. Oftentimes, we have learned that justice is literally executed, because the innocent are put to death.
